School Fair 2013

Jeryn and Mara LOVED The Firs School Fair today! There were fun rides, swings, junk food, balloon teddy bears and best of all FACE PAINTING! The lady who did their faces was so sweet! I think Jeryn told me she would like to have 'Facepainting by Anni' for her birthday party in November. Needless to say, it was tough getting them in the bath tonight! What a GREAT DAY!

Out of Air...

After 540 km, my air popped.  I guess it is time for new shoes.  

Trip 3: Happy Mother's Day! A quick trip to York

Happy Mother's Day!

We took a quick trip for the day to York.  It is similar to Chester in many ways...lots of little shops, surrounded by city walls, and lots of tourists.

We saw York Minster...

The Train Museum (all the National Museums are free in the UK)...

Rode this little train...(cool, but way overpriced for a 10 minute ride)...

The "Shambles"...which is a really crooked street with buildings from the 1200's...

Then celebrated Mother's Day (which is a different day than Mum's Day in the UK) by getting some Rocco Chocolates for Mom!

Trip 2: Liverpool Cathedral

Our adventures today took us to the 5th largest cathedral in the world.  Liverpool Cathedral was incredibly large and very beautiful on the inside.

Plus, we were the only people from MN (or TN) to visit today:)

Look out pigeons, Mr. C has arrived!

 This is 'Mr. Constipation' affectionately called Mr. C. He arrived today by mail from Amazon. I hope he lives up to his title and puts a stop to all the pigeon poop on my car and in our yard. I would also appreciate not having to listen to them at 5am each morning outside my window.

Thanks in advance Mr. C!!

He is kinda creepy looking with his yellow eyes. I can only HOPE the pigeons think the same!
