Quote of the weekend...
"I LOVE painting in my panties Daddy!"
We finally painted the baby's room this weekend and of course Jeryn was so excited to help. As you may imagine, painting a wall when you are a toddler is a bit on the messy side, so we decided to wear Jeryn's favorite outfit these days...her panties! She was so excited she ran up to Josh before we started and announced, "I LOVE painting in my panties Daddy!" I guess we have another saying to add to her book. I can't wait for her to read this when she is a teenager!

Rock Island State Park - Holiday hiking
Jeryn and I took a short hiking trip this weekend. It was hot and sunny - which makes for a nice day, but a long hike and not great pictures. Overall, it was a really good trip and we had a great chance to enjoy another state park.

Glue and Water= FUN TIMES!
Introduced Jeryn to the fun and fabulous glue stick today! She had a great time gluing shapes onto paper.
Outside after Mommy left for work. It was really hot so Daddy set up the water table. No time for a swimming suit! Fun times in her dress.

Uncle Betty and Auntie J come for a visit!
I was so lucky to have my sister and her fiance Benjamin come for a visit over the long weekend. They came to relax and celebrate my birthday with me. The tone of the weekend was very low-key, not a whole lot planned other than a fun trip to the Nashville Zoo, playing at the neighborhood pool and spending time in the backyard. I can say we successfully accomplished all those things.
They were also wonderful in helping get some heavy oak furniture moved out of Jeryn's new 'Big Girl Room' and upstairs to the bonus room and guest bedroom. Thanks for all your muscles guys!! It was a great weekend of laughs and family time that we so rarely get with them when we are home in MN. Please come visit again soon we miss you so much already!
