Our FAVORITE Neighbors!

Jacob, Lillie, Jeryn and Lauren
Lauren's beeeeeeeautiful smile!
Jeryn and Lillie driving the barbie car

We have been blessed with the most wonderful neighbors right across the street. We see them daily and they watch Jeryn for us when I work. They truly are THE BEST! Leslie and I call each other to borrow things like garlic salt, eggs and diced tomatoes on a fairly regular basis. Todd loans us his hedge trimmer and we loan him our ladder to hang Christmas lights. Jeryn LOVES Jacob, Lillie and Lauren! All my life I have wanted to live somewhere and have neighbors like we do here in TN. Thanks for being our awesome neighbors Franklin's!

Lolly

Just thought I would post a couple pics of Lolly that Josh took with the new camera. It really does take amazing pictures. I will have to learn how to use it some day!!

A little Lolly update: As some of you already know she was diagnosed with mild kidney disease back a few months ago. So, we have made a change in her diet and she seems to be doing well. She is now back up to 58 lbs which is more in her normal range. Playing outside in the back yard with Jeryn is one of her most favorite pastimes. She has even gone down the slide! She always wants the attention and will get in the middle of whatever you are doing just to get it. Not sure what she will do when there is another human in the house taking up so much of Mom and Dad's time. Also, you may have noticed that she has gotten quite grey since moving to TN. We don't know exactly why, but it suits her well! We love her dearly and are so lucky to have such a great dog.

Elsa's Baptism in Minnesota

Jeryn had an awesome weekend with family. We were up in Minnesota for her cousin Elsa's baptism. Here are a few highlights or a link to all of the picts:

Lavender

Now all we need is some furniture!
Big floor reading pillows to replace rocker which will stay in baby's room.

Big Girl Room

We painted Jeryn's 'Big Girl Room' lavender yesterday and she got to help! She was completely entertained for a good 30 mins and had a lot of fun! I think it was a bit less fun for Daddy as I was painting trim and he was "on toddler duty." But really, we all had a great Mother's Day pitching in to help get her room ready. Now we just need her new furniture to arrive so we can start decorating! The new baby will be going into her current room. (More pics of the paint to come Auntie Kirk!)

Charleston, SC Mini-Vacation

We recently decided since Josh hasn't taken any time off in 2010 yet we would take a long weekend trip and go to the beach. Charleston, SC was a popular option among the ladies I play Bunco with once a month, so we booked a hotel and went for it!

It was about an 8 hr drive and Jeryn did an AMAZING job in the car! She watched her movies, colored with her crayons and ate her snacks. We were surprised that she stayed awake for the whole 8 hrs!

While we were there we enjoyed some fabulous food, a great afternoon at the beach building sand castles and swimming, a nice swing on the family sized swings they have on the pier, an exciting morning at the Children's Museum dressing up in old clothes and playing in the children's size castle and some really great italian ice for dessert one night before bedtime! Unfortunately, our camera is broken, so we brought along an old one. We didn't take as many pictures as we would have had we had our camera, but here are a few that capture our 2 days on the coast!
