Mommy/Daughter Weekend

Josh headed to MN this weekend for some time with his family, so we are having a girls weekend here in TN. So far, we have been swinging in the backyard, trike riding at the Greenway and also had sister bath time. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?!

Preschool Pajama Day

It was pajama day at preschool today. This was Jeryn's first dress-up day for school. She was so excited to wear her princess slippers from mom and matching nightgown that she inherited from Lauren. There were tents, sleeping bags and flashlights galore. It sounds like it was a fun morning. I was surprised to actually get a smile for this picture considering when I asked if I could take it, she quickly replied, "Nooooooooooo." Mara was in her jammies too, but it's hard to tell.

We had just gotten home from picking Jeryn up at preschool, and were sitting at the table sharing a snack, when I noticed Mara was ALL SMILES:-)

Rosie's Famous (and safe!)

Our long time friend Rosie (Jamie Rosencrans) was on this flight today...WOW. We are so glad she is ok and how cool that she got interviewed!!

Hiking Season Again

Hiking season is here again. Jeryn and I spent the day in South Cumberland State Park yesterday. Yay:)

Hard at Work

With Jeryn being in preschool this year, she has the opportunity to make Valentine's for all her classmates. They have a party and will be passing out Valentine's to one another on Thursday during snack time.

If you know me at all, you know that I am not crafty. My sister was blessed with that gene from my mom. It actually makes my blood pressure sky rocket to think about having to be crafty (hence Mara's Christmas stocking is still uncompleted!) Although, lately I have realized I can get a lot of great easy ideas out of magazines and online.

So, for this year's 3 year old class, we went simple...stickers, color crayons and red doily(sp?) hearts completed with a red heart sucker. She had a GREAT time putting them together...and so did I amazingly!

I hope they go over well at preschool tomorrow...

I have no idea what she was singing. All I could get out of it was "Bible says" at the end. She knows the words to a lot of songs, but tonight I think she was making up her own.
