8 Months!

This is our smiley 8 month old!

Mara is such a sweet baby. Most days you can find her smiling, giggling and babbling all while sitting and entertaining her self. She has also really enjoyed trying new foods over the last month. I'm not even sure what her favorite is as she truly has loved most everything I have given her. She is known to eat 1-2 containers of food at a sitting! Mara loves to chew on plastic bags (oh so safe, I know!). I have already told her that in the months to come when she has some teeth she won't be able to play with them any more - she just smiles back at me with those lovable cheeks! Her other favorite thing is to chew on tags...tags of any kind really. Her favorites are the tags on some of her toys. I have found that the tags on the Taggies toys are not long enough for her to hold the tag and suck on it at the same time though, so that has been a disappointment. She would rather just have the plain old tag.

Jeryn continues to be Mara's FAVORITE person in the world. They are really becoming close. Jeryn tells me every day that Mara is her best friend. And Mara's face LIGHTS UP every time she sees her sister. Just the other day I was able to take a shower while they played together in Jeryn's room...how wonderful! Jeryn really has a mothering nature about her and it warms my heart to see how she loves being a BIG sister. WOW, two girls...I am just so lucky to have two beautiful girls!
