My favorite wife

My favorite wife, originally uploaded by josh77anderson.

Isn't she pretty?

My favorite wifey got me a photography lesson for Father's Day. I certainly needed it. Here are a few examples of my improved work:) Of course it helps that I had a lovely subject to shoot. What do you think?

Our Dad

Hmmm, how do you thank the most important person in your life for all that he is and all that he does for you and your family?

I didn't really know, so we made him a cute plate, gave him some baby footprints, colored him a picture, helped him register for a photography class (two hour class for an evening), had Sweet Cece's frozen yogurt, went for a walk and saw Fortress Rosecrans, played outside with the hose and had his favorite spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.

We love you Dad and are so lucky for all that you do for us. We couldn't ask for anyone better!

Cheerios, Waffles and Water...

You can barely see it, but she was having Cheerios for the first time.

Frozen waffles are good on the gums!

Swimming....I think I could get used to this!

So pretty...

Mom: "Jeryn, what happened to your lips?"

Jeryn: "I couldn't find my lipgloss."

'It's Love'

Goodness, it took awhile to get this posted. Sorry!!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Jeryn got the 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' from her preschool teacher this year. She has memorized the whole book and loves to sing it at bedtime.

Mara Claps and Giggles

Watching this video played back it looks like I am really shaking her HARD. It didn't seem that way when I was doing it and I guess she was enjoying herself :-)

Hi there!

Here's a random cute picture:) Yay Mara!

Texas Road trip 2011

The memory on our computer is full, so Josh has been working to move things onto a local server. Sorry for the lack in blog posting lately...

Here are a few shots from our road trip vacation over Memorial Day to visit our dear friends. Yep, our old neighbors, the Franklin's.

We had lots of fun visiting a waterpark, getting a sunburn, seeing historic Fort Worth where they run longhorns down the street, and burning moonshine (it's a little known fact that 'good' moonshine burns blue, not orange or red).

It was also fun celebrating Outing's birthday with a 12hr car ride. Oh well. And Todd's big 4-0 birthday! Whoa! Fun times:)

9 Months

Happy girl at 18lbs 9oz...Whoa!
Sweet Sisters before bed
Are we done yet?

Can it be? Is it true? Our baby is 9 months. Really? Oh. My. Goodness. I just can't believe how fast it has gone.

'Curious' tops the list of adjectives to describe our youngest daughter these days. Mara loves to look at and touch new things. I can usually entertain her during fussy times with a new 'something or other' from the kitchen drawers. Her other favorite thing, of course, is to watch Jeryn playing or running around the house. She has started intently watching her, like she is trying to figure out how she can run and jump too! It is so sweet.

She has not yet started to crawl, but is ready to GO! She rocks up onto her knees and either face plants or sits back down. Reaching and grabbing at everything is her new pastime-she got a hand/armful of hummus outside at our picnic lunch today and really liked it! It won't be long! What will I do with two of them on the go?

Gerber's Puffs...I think she finally figured them out. For awhile she would almost choke on them, but this week she learned not to inhale them. She is still nursing like a champ daily and actually refused a bottle for two days while I was at a class for work. Talk about stress out her dad! Apples are her new favorite food to chew on. I cut an apple into quarters, put her in her high chair in the kitchen and she gnaws on that while I make dinner. It works out perfectly!

Her smile is still infectious, it really is! And her giggle...don't even get me started on her awesome giggle! We captured a little video of it this week. I will try to get it posted. I can't begin to describe how my heart swells with more love for her each day.

What more is there to say? I can't believe I will be planning a FIRST birthday again in three months. WOW!
