Fall Activities: Gymnastics, Family Time, China, Thanksgiving, and New York
Since our last post, we've been busy with lots of activities!
Jeryn's been hard at it with gymnastics. She's had 5 competitions, and been progressively more consistent and stable - making steady progress on the beam and floor.
We have been fortunate to have lots of family time with Auntie J, Auntie Kirk, and Grandma - all were able to join us for Thanksgiving.
I've been to China for a two-week work trip. It was a long stretch, but super interesting. I was fortunate enough to make the most of it with a weekend trip to the Great Wall of China, and Beijing. I found it interesting that people would stare regularly at me, and often approach to have our picture taken.
We capped it all with a 3-day trip to New York City. Neither Christina nor I have ever been, so it was a great opportunity to explore. We made the most of the experience with ice skating at Rockafeller Plaza, a day at the Statue of Liberty, loads of window display viewing, and the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall.
Hope all is well where you are. Thanks for staying up on what's new with the excitement at the Anderson's. We're blessed and fortunate, and hoping to talk or see many of you soon!

Annual State Fair Trip
Ahh...the wonderfulness of the Minnesota State Fair! It is hard to believe that any other fair could outdo this (although Texas claims they can).
Today we hit up the state fair with 150,000 of our closest friends! What a blast with some great company and all sorts of foods on a stick!
We even ran into this friendly State Fair employee...

Classic MN Fun: Mississippi Headwaters
Lake Itasca State Park is the home of the Mississippi Headwaters. It's the type of place that you remember from your childhood, and somehow hasn't changed an ounce. It's filled with interesting people watching of all ages, and scores of people scampering across the iconic Itasca rocks.
What a fun place to explore with the girls and our cousins:

Happy Birthday Outing!
Happy Birthday to the most amazing partner, wife(y), mother, best friend, and woman that I have ever met! Thank you for the chance to be part of your life for the last almost 20 years! You are loved!
Check out this picture that Jeryn took of us while Up North in Baxter for the holiday weekend. Looks like we have a budding photographer in the works:)
Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Wow, a whirlwind
The last month has been a blur. Closing bank accounts, getting rid of cars, moving into a temporary apartment, moving out of a temporary apartment, traveling for work to Spain, buying a house, moving house, a 40th birthday party (for a friend:)), a final road trip to Bath, various sleepovers for the girls, four or five goodbye events of sorts, and a fantastic dance performance.
Mara's first dance performance was a huge hit, and a tremendous success from the Sophie Gallie Dance Academy. She was brilliant on stage, and was glowing afterwards.

Moving to...
After 11 years, 2 wonderful children, 4 houses, 2 states, 2 countries, 1 dog, 9 cars, a couple of frequent flyer miles, loads of new brilliant friends, a few tears, lots of laughter, and a WHOLE LOT OF LOVE...
We are sad to say that we are moving again, this time leaving England behind:
But excited to share that we are headed home to Minnesota in April!
Hope to see you soon!!

2015 in Review
Here's the annual 3-minute summary of 2015. Hope this finds you well. Happy New Year!
And the Link for the Previous 8 Years:
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all our friends and family that we couldn't see this year. We spend the holiday in Chester and welcomed Auntie Kirk and Grandma for a visit! We also learned some important lessons about holiday train schedules too, but that's a longer story.
We hope your holidays were just as nice as ours! We feel blessed this Christmas.

Can you believe this girl is 8 (well, will be on Sunday)!? We are so proud that Jeryn is growing up to become an incredibly thankful, kind-hearted, and wonderful girl - not to mention a fabulous big sister.
