Trip 12: Grandma Visits London for Christmas!

We were fortunate enough to have Grandma come to visit for Christmas!  Yesterday was her first trip to London.  Although it rained, we saw the Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, and severals trains in-between.

Both the train rides were a little interesting:
On the way to London, we had the entire train car to ourselves.
On the way home, our train hit a tree.  It broke a window, delayed us an hour, and we had to get a new train at the next stop.  I suppose it could have been a lot worse!

The next few days will be focused on Christmas cookies, our traditional Christmas roast cooked by Grandma, and I'm sure a few trips into town.

We Love you Grandma!

We had the pleasure of Grandma's company for the past week. It was lots of fun. We did crafts, played outside swinging and in the sand box, oooo and showed off Jeryn's trike-riding skills, went to some playdates, had extra fun baths, made a trip to the Dairy Queen, and of course lots of stories and plenty of hugs and kisses to go around. It was great to have help cleaning the kitchen cupboards out and getting the laundry room organized. What a productive week! Grandma even endured a few new recipes...all which ended up to be quite edible. Thank goodness!! It was a wonderful week. We feel so lucky to have you in our lives!

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit this past weekend. It was a great time! Unfortunately, I had to be in Minnesota for my Grandmother's funeral, but Jeryn was able to stay here in TN and enjoy company for a long weekend.

Jeryn ventured to the Nashville Zoo and had fun playing in the new sand box with Grandma and Grandpa. Other fun activities included, coloring the driveway with lots of fun chalk messages for me when I got home on Sunday and Daddy and Grandpa fixing up her tricycle so she can reach the pedals. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and we are excited to know that we will be back in MN in a few short weeks for Elsa's baptism. See you again soon family!
