Night on the Town

We were fortunate enough to head out to Nashville last night with Tom and Beth. The evening started out at Sambuca for dinner. The food was delish and the live music, The Diggy Band, was wonderful entertainment. Then off to the "Nashvegas strip" we went. We checked out Boot Country where Tom lost the battle of the boots and came home empty handed :-( Then we danced the night away at The Stage, Tootsies and Legends. What a GREAT night! Can't wait to see if Tom gets some "catalog boots" when he gets home! Ha!

Tourist in Nashville

Our friend Jody from California came out to visit us. Jody wanted to see some of the tourist attractions in Nashville, so we made an afternoon of it.

Here is a short video of Jeryn's first escalator ride at the Opryland Hotel. Pretty uneventful until the end...luckily it didn't end in tragedy. Maybe there is a reason they recommend the elevator...

We also visited the Parthanon - no, not the one in Greece, but the full scale replica in Nashville.

Look out!I found a cool statue inside - Walking like an Egyptian.

Tennessee Visitors

My sister and parents came down to Tennessee for a visit this weekend! We went to Lynchburg, TN to tour the Jack Daniel's Distillery. Oddly enough, it's in a dry county...no sampling on this tour.

Here's Jeryn and I with Jack...

We also hit up Saturday night in Nashville. We hopped a couple bars along Broadway: Layla's Bluegrass Inn, and the Big Bang which was a dueling piano bar. Layla's was a dive bar with some pretty diverse crowd...hippies, preppies, yuppies, grandmas, cowbows, tourists, and us. They call it Nash-Vegas, and I can see why.

Kirk and Outing decided to make a cowgirl purchase...

Here's a quick video shot of Jeryn enjoying the morning.
